Oregon football is off to a hot start to the 2021 season, sitting at 7-1 heading into the month of November. Even more impressive is the fact that the Ducks are ranked No. 4 in the first playoff rankings. No one saw it coming, but the committee thinks very highly of Oregon.

The Ducks control their own destiny heading into this final month of the regular season and if they manage to win out and beat Washington, Washington State, Utah, and Oregon State, they will be heading to the Pac-12 title game with a playoff berth on the line.

Winning out and capturing a third straight Pac-12 title ensures a playoff berth, and that’s an exciting development for Mario Cristobal’s team.

Let’s get bold ahead of a big month of November.

3. Kayvon Thibodeaux breaks career-high in sacks

If there’s one thing that I’ve been more than impressed with over the past month, it’s the return of Kayvon Thibodeaux with a vengeance.

Not only has Thibodeaux returned from injury to play well, but he’s flat-out dominating opponents. In fact, he has 23 tackles and three sacks in the 3.5 games since he returned from injury. And it feels like he’s just getting started.

I think Kayvon will have an even better month of November, putting up six sacks in the final four games to finish with 10 on the season which will break his previous career-high set in 2019 of nine. We are seeing him just get started and I think his dominance is going to be taken to new heights in the final four games.
