Washington State has been in the news for all the wrong reasons this season.

While the Cougars are just one win away from bowl eligibility in somewhat of a surprising season, they are moving forward without head coach Nick Rolovich who was fired because he didn’t comply with the vaccine mandate in the state of Washington. He has since announced he’d be suing the school, but the Cougars are a team without a coach at the worst possible time.

The Cougars will need to win one of their final three games in order to make the postseason, and I hate to say it, but this won’t be it.

A road game in Eugene will be the worst-case scenario for the Cougars and I truly believe this one will be decided by halftime.

Washington State just doesn’t have the firepower or the defense to keep up with the Ducks here and I think Oregon races out to a three-touchdown lead in the first half and never looks back.

I’m expecting a big game from Anthony Brown in this one. Maybe something like five total touchdowns for the senior quarterback.

Final Score: Washington State 17, Oregon 40 (9-1, 6-1)
