Cyrus Moss has to be considered the Ducks’ top target heading into Wednesday.

The four-star edge rusher from Las Vegas is ranked the No. 63 overall prospect on the composite but 247Sports is even higher on him, ranking him the No. 30 recruit in the class. He’s going to be a star at the next level and it looked like he was Eugene-bound for a while until the coaching change.

Will the hire of Dan Lanning be enough to win him over and get him to join the Ducks’ 2022 class? It’s hard to say ‘no thanks’ to a defensive genius who has helped get a number of players to the NFL, especially when that’s your dream. Moss could be a superstar on Lanning’s defense and I could see him buying in and signing with Oregon.

The 6-6, 220-pounder was trending toward Oregon for a while before the coaching change but he may have fell in love with the school and Lanning has to be intriguing for him.

There’s a chance we see Moss wait until February to sign, but either way, Oregon has to keep an eye on him Wednesday to see what he does. He’s the top target on the board.
