1. Ty Thompson takes over for Anthony Brown

Anthony Brown is preparing for the Alamo Bowl as the starting quarterback and the coaching staff is also pegging him as QB1 ahead of the game, but that could all change.

And I think it will.

In need of a spark in the third quarter, the Ducks will make a change at quarterback down a couple of touchdowns, giving Ty Thompson an opportunity to shine. He’ll come in and put up some solid numbers. He might be shaky at first, but he’s going to settle in and lead the Ducks back to tie things up before Oklahoma scores the go-ahead touchdown with minutes left.

Thompson will drive the Ducks down the field but he’ll have a critical turnover with under two minutes left which will seal the win for the Sooners, but he’ll have an overall positive showing.

I see Thompson taking over as QB1 in the second half and throwing for 150 yards and a couple of scores. This breakout performance on the big stage will create an even bigger quarterback controversy heading into the offseason with Bo Nix.

Tough loss for Oregon, but good does come from this game.
