Another new name on the radar for Oregon fans is Christen Miller who also took a trip to Eugene this weekend to check out Dan Lanning’s new program.

The Georgia-native is arguably a Bulldogs-lean right now and the fact that the coach who would have been his defensive coordinator decided to take the Oregon job may have changed things. He may be willing to follow Lanning to Oregon if he’s that sold on playing for the elite defensive mind.

Miller probably wasn’t on the radar before Lanning took the Oregon job, but it’s good news that the Ducks were able to get an official visit from him. He’s one of the top uncommitted prospects in the class and he’d be a nice consolation prize after losing Cyrus Moss to Miami. He’s not an edge rusher like Moss or Kayvon Thibodeaux, but it would more than make up for missing out on him.

The 6-4, 285-pounder from Georgia is ranked the No. 107 overall recruit in the class as well as the 19th-best defensive lineman.

It’ll be interesting to see if Lanning can sway him to Oregon, but the odds have to be relatively decent considering he just won a national title with his dominant defense and that has to be attractive to all Duck targets right now.
