For the second time in three games to start the year, Oregon might be facing a ranked opponent as I think BYU might be one of the best non-Power Five teams in the country for 2022. The Cougars return a lot of talent to a team that beat a handful of Pac-12 foes last season and Kalani Sitake is one of the best in the business.

However, the Cougars are losing Tyler Allgeier which is a huge blow to that offense and I think the Ducks will be rolling with Ty Thompson named starting quarterback officially.

Final Score: BYU 24, Oregon 35 (2-1)

I’m not sold on Washington State with Jake Dickert at head coach just yet, but the Cougars might surprise some people next season with top quarterback transfer Cameron Ward coming in.

The Cougars may be a 6-6 or 7-5 team in 2022 but that would be a step in the right direction and they might pull off an upset on a ranked team to really gain some momentum. Oregon could be that team, but I think the Ducks avoid an upset in Pullman but Ward is going to have a big game and really put himself on the nation’s radar.

Final Score: Oregon 37, Washington State 28 (3-1, 1-0 Pac-12)
