The favorable schedule continues as another road game comes against a lackluster opponent in Colorado. The Buffaloes were surprise contenders in Karl Dorrell’s first season in 2020, but the honeymoon phase is over and Colorado has fallen back down to earth after a bowl-less 2021 season. This might be Dorrell’s final season in Boulder.

Colorado will put up a fight early on, but with all the key departures, including Brenden Rice and Jarek Broussard, the Buffaloes will run out of gas.

Final Score: Oregon 38, Colorado 21 (8-1, 6-0)

Oregon will get a tougher two-game stretch after facing Colorado in Bouler as top rival Washington comes to Eugene.

The Ducks beat the Huskies last season in Seattle and I think we’ll see more of the same this time around in a defensive battle. Neither offense will look overly impressive and Dan Lanning’s defense will have the perfect game plan to shut down Washington.

Give this rivalry a season or two and it’ll be a yearly ranked battle again.

Final Score: Washington 17, Oregon 21 (9-1, 7-0)
