Another familiar name for Dan Lanning, Christen Miller just took an official visit to Eugene last weekend after being recruited by Oregon’s new head coach at Georgia for years.

Miller and Lanning have an already-formed relationship which is going to help here as the Ducks try to make a last-second move to sway him to Oregon. He looked like a strong Georgia lean before Lanning took the job at Oregon and now it doesn’t seem like a lock anymore. Oregon seems to have a fighter’s chance here.

The 6-5, 285-pound defensive lineman from Georgia would be Oregon’s top overall commit and it would win fans over immediately. This would just go to show that Lanning has what it takes to recruit at an elite level.

Plus, after watching Lanning lead Georgia’s defense to one of the best seasons in years en route to a national title, why wouldn’t a top recruit want an opportunity to play for him? Miller might just wind up in the starting lineup for the Ducks as a true freshman.

Miller is ranked the No. 106 overall recruit and 16th-best defensive lineman in the class. He’s also being courted by Ohio State, Florida A&M, and Miami.
