Oregon football has received a number of crystal balls on 247Sports for four-star Georgia running back commit Jordan James.

For a few weeks now, Oregon football has been trending in the right direction with one of the best running backs in the 2022 class, and now it feels like there’s a legit momentum swing in his recruitment.

Jordan James, a four-star Georgia running back commit, has been a Bulldog pledge since March but after Dan Lanning left for Oregon, the Ducks have been in the running for him.

James wasn’t exactly on the radar before Lanning got to Eugene, but there was also not as big of a need for running backs before the coaching change. The Ducks’ running back room went from five-deep to just two. Travis Dye transferred to USC, Trey Benson left for Florida State, and CJ Verdell went to the NFL. Sean Dollars even entered the portal before withdrawing his name.

Now, the running back room is just Dollars and Byron Cardwell.

That could soon change as crystal balls on 247Sports began pouring in in favor of Oregon on Thursday. He named a final three of Georgia, Florida, and Oregon ahead of signing day with a final decision looming and these crystal balls in favor of the Ducks make it look like it’s nearly a done deal.

James is the No. 191 overall recruit in the class as well as the 16th-best running back, according to 247Sports’ composite. His recent trip to Eugene seemed to have won him over.

Adding James to the running back room along with Colorado Jarek Broussard would be a fantastic consolation prize for losing Dye, Verdell, and Benson.
