Even with the injury bug creeping around, both the green and yellow defenses made some really nice plays. DJ Johnson was responsible for a lot of those plays.

According to The Oregonian, DJ Johnson accounted for seven tackles, five tackles for loss, and four sacks against the yellow team.

Johnson had the kind of day that’ll make you wonder what he’s been doing playing tight end for the last two seasons. Many Duck fans will dream about the lost opportunity of having Johnson and Kayvon Thibodeaux playing at opposite ends of the same defensive line for more than the single season that they did.

Now, all that can be hoped is that he’s able to replace the output of Thibodeaux, and he looks like a man on a mission to do so.
