Oregon Football: 5 players who stood out in Ducks’ 2022 spring game
By Eric Boles
5. Bo Nix
It’s been known since his arrival on campus that Bo Nix would compete in a quarterback battle with Ty Thompson and Jay Butterfield, but if the spring game is any indication, he looks to be ahead by a country mile.
Nix was 8-of-15 for 230 yards and three touchdowns, with a lone interception, according to The Oregonian.
Nix looked dialed in from the first snap. His opening pass to McGee wasn’t his only bomb of the day, as he hit Dont’e Thornton for two more touchdowns, one of 39 yards and another of 70 yards. Things could swing in another direction before the first game of the season, but the starting spot definitely looks like it’s Nix’s to lose.
