Oregon Football now has most of its September slate of games scheduled for both tv and kickoff times.
We already know the September 3rd game against Georgia is set for a 12:30 pm Pacific Time kickoff on ABC. On Thursday the rest of the non-conference slate was announced including the games at Autzen Stadium vs BYU and Eastern Washington. The BYU game was a bit of a surprise, at least for me
Following the game against Georgia, the Ducks will host Eastern Washington on September 10th. Kickoff is set for 5:30 pm Pacific Time on Pac-12 Network, which should make it a little more feasible for fans coming down from Portland.
The third week of the season Oregon will host BYU in a contest with national flair. It will kick off at 12:30 pm, the first start time that early in a very long time. The game will be broadcast on FOX.
With Dan Lanning in his first season with the Ducks, the game against Georgia will not determine the full season. With the rule change announced last week with the Pac-12 no longer having divisions moving forward, the Ducks need to be in the top two teams of the conference to play in the conference championship game.
I expect Oregon Football will open the season in the top 15 and Georgia to be in the top 5 when the season opens for both teams in September. The Ducks are also coming off a successful Spring Camp and Spring Game that saw the reigns at quarterback pretty much in the hands of Bo Nix. I do not expect that to change moving toward Fall Camp.
The Pac-12 will likely do what they have done in the past with the remainder of the schedule with some games being 12 day and 5 day kickoff time and tv network selections.
The 2022 season begins again on September 3rd at 12:30 pm Pacific Time from the Superdome against Georgia on ABC.
