Oregon football racked up over 500 yards of offense and the defense was able to find answers vs Hawaii. It was another blowout win 55-10 over the Rainbow Warriors to get to 3-0 on the season with Pac-12 play looming this week as Colorado comes to Eugene.

Oregon opened the scoring on one of their shortest drives of the season which was just two plays. The first was a run play, and the second was a 49-yard pass play to Tez Johnson. Hawaii’s first drive was a three-and-out. On their second drive, they found little positive momentum as the drive ended in an Oregon interception which the Ducks turned into three points off a 43-yard Camden Lewis field goal.

The Oregon ground game found some running room for the rest of the first quarter with Jordan James scoring a touchdown. Bo Nix threw a touchdown to Tez Johnson for a 24-0 lead after the first fifteen minutes of play. Hawaii had just 26 yards of total offense in the first quarter.

The second quarter was not much better for Hawaii. The Ducks added a touchdown and a field goal. The Rainbow Warriors were finally able to get on the board with a field goal to go into halftime down 34-3.

Traeshon Holden found the endzone for his second score of the game in the third quarter from Quarterback Bo Nix. Noah Whittington also scampered for a 34-yard score to add to the Ducks lead. Nix finished the game midway through the third quarter throwing for three touchdowns and completing 21 of 27 passes for 247 yards.

On the ground, the Ducks were impressive with Whittington finishing the game with 80 yards and a score. Jordan James had 60 yards with two scores.

When Nix exited the game, the offense kept going with Ty Thompson who threw a touchdown pass to Traeshon Holden. Thompson finished the game and was an impressive 5 for 7 for 102 yards and a score. He was not as solid running the ball and finished with -14 yards on the ground.

The Oregon football team is 3-0 on the season and starts Pac-12 play. The defensive effort against Hawaii was solid. Tysheem Johnson had 8 tackles, 5 were solo. Bruce Boettcher finished with 6 total tackles, 3 solo, and a tackle for loss.

The Ducks welcome the Colorado Buffaloes to Autzen Stadium on Saturday for a nationally televised game. Kickoff is set for 12:30 pm Pacific Time on ABC.
