Cotton Bowl (0-2)

1949: SMU 21 Oregon 13

Oregon didn’t play in a bowl game from 1919 until making the 1949 Cotton Bowl. It was the Ducks third bowl game appearance and second loss. The Ducks finished the season 9-2.

1996: Colorado 38 Oregon 6

The Ducks had never won 10 or more games in a season and for the second-straight year had a chance to in their bowl game. To finish the 1994 season, the Ducks lost the Rose Bowl to finish 9-4 and in 1995 they did the same with a blowout loss to Colorado in the Cotton Bowl. Oregon finished 9-3 in head coach Mike Belloti’s first season.

Oregon and Bellotti finally won 10 games in 2000.
