Oregon Football season is finally almost here as fans are left just counting down the days until the Ducks are in action. Oregon enters the season with a ton of hopes as the Ducks are on the shortlist of favorties for the National Championship. Before the Ducks can get to contending for Big Ten and National Championships, the season starts hosting the Boise State Broncos.
The Ducks are massive favorites over the Broncos, indicating that Oregon should win this game by a wide margin. While the Ducks starters will play a ton, at the start of the season there's always a ton of moving pieces, and the younger players should benefit from it the most.

4. 2 Freshmen score touchdowns
In the season opener, in a game the Oregon Ducks are expected to dominate, Dan Lanning and the staff will likely get a ton of players involved. The Ducks just signed a loaded recruiting class, and it brings some talented playmakers who will look to make their first impression on the fanbase in the season opener.
Wide receivers Gatlin Bair, Messiah Hampton, and Jalen Lott will likely play regardless of whether it's a blowout or a close game, and each has shown great flashes through the Summer. Kendre' Harrison joins the Ducks as a 5-star tight end, and the Ducks may deploy him in the redzone where his size can be a weapon. Add in Brandon Smith, who's been compared to Saquon Barkley by Dierre Hill, and the potential for a freshman defender to score, and it could be a show of youth on Saturday.
3. More than 10 offensive linemen play
The biggest question heading into the season opener is over who will be the starting 5 offensive linemen. Dan Lanning has said throughout the Summer that the team plans to play more than just the starting 5, and that may end up being closer to 10 in the season opener. Iapani Laloulu will be at center, and aside from that there's questions at each position.
Tommy Tofi, Fox Crader, Immanuel Iheanacho, Gernorris Wilson, Ziyare Addison, Michael Bennett III, and Zac Stascausky could all see time at tackle. Add in some of the tackles with Dave Iuli, Kawika Rogers, Douglas Utu, and Trent Ferguson at guard, and the Ducks may end up giving a bunch of players time in order to get game film on them.
2. Davon Benjamin leads the team in tackles
While a ton of the other true freshmen have gotten a ton of attention on the offensive side of the ball, it looks like Davon Benjamin may be the best of the bunch. Benjamin has had an incredible offseason, and he may have done enough to surpass Carl Williams IV for the starting role at the STAR position. The STAR position requires being around the ball a ton, and Benjamin will have a chance to instantly prove he's ready to contribute to what could be the Nation's best defense.
1. Na'eem Offord records a Pick 6
The entire summer, the reports out of camp all indicated that Na'eem Offord was pushing Ify Obidegwu for the cornerback spot opposite Brandon Finney Jr. Both cornerbacks will likely get a ton of playing time, and in the game, Offord may make the most out of the opportunity. Boise State may need to throw a ton to keep up with Oregon, and given that teams won't test Finney a ton, Offord should have plenty of chances to make a splash play.
