Down 66-57 with 4:46 to go in the fourth quarter, the Oregon women stormed back against No. 21 USC with a 14-0 run to end the game.

They won 71-66 to reach 14-3 with Sabrina Ionescu on hand to watch it. Afterward they celebrated in the locker room by dousing head coach Kelly Graves with a water bottle shower, jubilant after Ehis Etute made a layup and two free throws to start the rally, then Ari Long drained three 24-point 3-pointers to put the Ducks up 69-66.

Katie Fiso went to the line and hit two more free throws to cap it with 17 seconds to play, final Ducks 71, USC 66.

A veteran coach, Graves knew to wear a rain jacket when he hit the locker room after courtside interviews. "We showed some real character. We didn't get down. We kept battling and then we made that nice little run," he said. "I think any time you can win close games or come from behind, there's a belief that happens... That's invaluable to have."

The win might prove costly, however. Their 6-0 forward from Luxembourg, sophomore Ehis Etute played the best game of her career, but got hurt in the fourth quarter, what could be a broken foot.

Ducks win with emotion, teamwork, courage and extreme effort

She's doubtful for Sunday's game against Michigan State and perhaps a while, but Tuesday night she sparked the Oregon comeback with a career-high 17 points and 13 rebounds, added to Long's deadeye outside shooting and 14 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists from point guard Fiso.

Forward Mia Jacobs contributed another strong all-around game with 11 points, three rebounds, 5 assists, three blocks and a steal, 3-6 from 3-point range.

Next the Ducks take on the 14-1, No. 15 Spartans in Matthew Knight Arena, Sunday January 11 at 2 p.m. PT, televised on Big Ten+.
