Amina Muhammad has officially made her return to Austin, and she did so in resounding fashion.
Muhammad and the No. 8-seed Oregon Ducks stormed into the Moody Center and dismantled the No. 9-seed Virginia Tech Hokies to advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
In her return to her hometown and to her former team's home court, Muhammad racked up seven points and three rebounds, while playing just 14 minutes for head coach Kelly Graves.
Up next, Oregon will likely face the No. 1-seed Texas Longhorns, the very team that Muhammad transferred from to play for the Ducks.

Two years ago, Muhammad was suiting up for the Horns and their head coach, Vic Schaefer. Now, with the Longhorns facing the No. 16-seed Missouri State Lady Bears, Muhammad will likely be suiting up to take on her former team, her former coach, and her former teammates.
"Bittersweet," Muhammad said about what it would be like to face her old team. "But I'm ready, I know my team is ready, so we'll see what happens."
While the Longhorns still had to close out their win on the Lady Bears, Texas was unsurprisingly the heavy favorite in the first-round matchup and would most likely face the Ducks in the second round.

Muhammad hadn't played a collegiate game in Austin since transferring from Texas to Oregon, but she was no stranger to the Longhorns' home court at the Moody Center.
"It's great, honestly, I wanted us to be in Texas because it's my hometown," Muhammad said after the game. "I love the court [at Moody], it's great."
In their own first-round win, the Ducks routed the Hokies, securing the 70-60 win over Virginia Tech to advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
