Oregon Heisman finalist and second-year pro Bo Nix rallied the Broncos for 18 points in the fourth quarter as Denver upset Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia 21-17 at Lincoln Financial Field.

Nix hit tight end Evan Engram for an 11-yard touchdown with 7:36 to play to take an 18-17 lead, then drove his team 50 yards in 11 plays for a field goal, working the clock down to 1:11.

After the Denver defense sacked Hurts, they knocked away a third down pass, the Eagles down to their last snap on 4th and 7. A pass interference penalty bailed them out, fresh downs to the 47. A pass to Jahan Dotson got the champs to the Denver 29.

Officials waved off another obvious P.I. at the goal line, clock down to :04. Hurts heaved a jump ball into the end zone, knocked away, and Nix and the Broncos reached 3-2 while sending Philly to 4-1.

For the game the second-year QB from Pinson, Alabama hit 24-39 passes for 242 yards and the touchdown. It was his biggest comeback as a pro and a signature win over an NFC title contender and defendling league champion, the kind of win that eluded Nix in his first season, 10-7 and out in the first round of the playoffs.

Next week Denver travels to London to take on the 0-5 Jets in the next game of the NFL's overseas series.
