The NFL Playoffs ended for Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos in such a tragic fashion last season as he suffered a broken ankle on the third-to-last play of the game as the team advanced to the AFC Championship Game. The injury was so disappointing, as Bo Nix had just played one of the best games of his career, and the Broncos easily could've made the Super Bowl.

Coming off such a promising year for the Broncos and their young quarterback, the team is going all-in to try and capitalize while Nix is on his rookie contract. This offseason, the Broncos went out and added an explosive weapon to the offense in Jaylen Waddle, and now the team is ready to make a run for glory.

Bo Nix's return showed he's ready to contend once again

Given that Bo Nix's season ended with an injury, the preseason was going to be important as he tries to get back into game action after the injury. On Friday Night, Bo Nix played in the Broncos game against the Packers where he proved he's ready to go this season.

Bo Nix finished the night going 6-9, passing for 76 yards and a touchdown, leading the Broncos to 10 points in his only two drives of the game. The touchdown Bo Nix threw was a beautifully placed 21 yard ball to running back RJ Harvey on a wheel route, where Nix dropped the ball right between the linebacker and the safety.

The only thing the Broncos fans didn't get to see Bo Nix do in his return to action was use his legs to move the chains. While seeing Bo Nix create with his legs would've helped prove he's fully back, it's wise to not take any chances in a preseason game as an injury isn't worth it.

The 2025 season was a breakout year for Nix as he passed for 3,931 yards and 25 touchdowns with 11 interceptions while also proving he can win in the Playoffs. The Broncos have loaded up on offense with the addition of Jaylen Waddle, and a Super Bowl window is now open for the next few seasons before the Oregon star cashes in on his next contract.
