The Oregon Ducks head into the 2026-27 season with a clear National Championship or bust expectation. When Dan Lanning was able to get Dante Moore, A'Mauri Washington, and Matayo Uiagalelei all to return to school rather than being potential 1st round picks, it set the bar sky high for this season.

Dan Lanning may have the most talented roster he's had at Oregon, and potentially the best roster in the Country. While the Ducks schedule isn't easy, especially in Big Ten play, this team is set up to go on a deep run with a chance to finally win a National Championship.

CBS Sports predicts Big Ten Championship with nightmare Playoff debut

After the buzz of spring practices, national analysts are adjusting their predictions for the college football season. On Wednesday, CBS Sports updated their bowl game predictions for the season with the Oregon Ducks earning the 3rd overall seed in the CFP. Brad Crawford predicts that the Ducks will win the Big Ten which would be a dream outcome.

The only downside for the Oregon Ducks is that by winning the Big Ten, the Playoff debut for Oregon in the CFP would be in The Rose Bowl.

While Oregon has had success historically in The Rose Bowl, the scars are still very visible from the last time the Ducks won the Big Ten just to face Ohio State in a rematch. Winning the Big Ten would make playing in the Rose Bowl unavoidable, and eventually, the Ducks will have to shake those demons.

This year's team has all the talent to go on a serious run, but everything needs to come together for a team to win the National Championship. Dan Lanning and his staff are going to need to get the most out of this roster, otherwise it even may take some time for a program with all the resources possible to bring back this much talent.
