After another disappointing Saturday for the Oregon Football team, Ducks' fans atleast had the chance to watch some former program greats in action in the NFL on Sunday. With bye weeks picking up, Oregon fans couldn't watch the likes of Justin Herbert, Josh Conerly Jr., and Arik Armstead. While it was a quiet weekend, there were still some massive performances.

With the NFL Trade Deadline approaching, teams are starting to separate themselves as pretenders and contenders. The Denver Broncos more than most teams needed an exciting weekend, and Bo Nix delivered.

Bo Nix and Bucky Irving put together electric performances in wins

The Denver Broncos' offensive struggles have been a massive storyline this season, and even with Sean Peyton taking back the playcalling duties, Bo Nix has caught a ton of hate and blame. While Nix hasn't been at his best as a passer, he can still create massive plays with his legs as he continues to work back from form after his injury.

On Sunday Afternoon, Bo Nix ripped off an elecrifying 62 yard touchdown run to give the Broncos the lead late in the 2nd quarter.

There's still plenty for Bo Nix to improve on as a passer, given that he finished 15 of 29 for 222 yards and a touchdown, but he's trending in the right direction. The 62 yard run may serve more as a confidence builder, given that his rushing ability has been questioned, as it was a quiet start to the year coming off the injury.

Baker Mayfield returned for the Buccaneers on Sunday, and while the team was just 1-5, the NFC South is wide open. While Mayfield was playing with a protective glove coming off the hand injury, all he needed it for was to hand the ball off as the Bucs ran the ball 49 times with just 11 pass attempts in a blowout win over the Panthers to help Tampa Bay get back into the division race.

Bucky Irving stepped up in a big way as he was electric, rushing for 106 yards and 2 touchdowns on 24 carries.

Seeing another Oregon Duck going off, Tez Johnson didn't want to be left out of the fun as he contributed with 2 catches for a team leading 33 yards and a touchdown, while adding 14 rushing yards.

The NFL week started off with the Bears beating the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football, and Dillon Thieneman played a big part in the win. Thieneman led the Bears with 8 total tackles while recording half a sack. Noah Sewell chipped in for the Bears as well adding a pair of tackles.

Monday Night Football will cap off the weekend, and there will be plenty of Oregon Ducks in action as Johnny Mundt and the shorthanded Eagles will try to knock off the Cowboys with TJ Bass and Ajani Cornelius. Given how quiet this weekend was, hopefully some Ducks start to get healthy while several coming off the bye will start to spark excitement again.
