Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks earned a massive commitment when five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore joined their 2025 class. Moore was initially committed to LSU but decommitted from the Tigers in May of 2024 and committed to Oregon less than two months later.

However, as the No. 1 and undefeated Ducks prepared to host the Maryland Terrapins, Moore wasn't in Eugene. He was in Baton Rouge.

Moore visited the LSU campus once again for the big-time SEC matchup between the Tigers and the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Moore received his offer from LSU and head coach Brian Kelly on Oct. 27, 2022 and had visited the campus three times before the Tigers' Week 11 game against the Tide. He initially committed to LSU on Aug. 12, 2023 and had an official visit on June 7, after decommitting from the program.

On May 23, 2022, Moore received a call from the Ducks that he had received an official offer. He has been to Eugene just once, a few days before his commitment to the program.

The two-time state champion from Duncanville, TX has repeatedly backed his commitment to the Ducks but the visit to Baton Rouge is huge news for both Oregon and LSU. The NCAA has done away with National Letters of Intent, which makes it significantly easier for athletes to commit to and decommit from programs.

While Moore may just be in Louisiana for an entertaining game, the Ducks might want to give their five-star prospect a call to ensure that he's still planning on coming to Oregon after his senior year.
