Oregon Football season is officially back, and sometimes the season starts, and you wonder why you counted down the days until headaches and chest pain return. The Ducks entered the game against Boise State as massive favorites, but every fan knew to take the oversized spread with a grain of salt, as the Broncos have proven to be kryptonite over the years.
The first half was a mess for the Oregon Ducks as they entered the locker room trailing by a field goal. Oregon made mistakes in every phase of the game, with plenty of penalties, a blown coverage, and two failed 4th down attempts that put the Ducks in the hole.
Dan Lanning had the most relatable reaction to Oregon's 1st half
Throughout the first half, most of the fans in the stands were likely scratching their heads while fans watching from home were likely screaming at the TV. All the anger Oregon fans had matched the energy of the head coach as Jenny Dell had to cut out a few words from her halftime conversation with Dan Lanning.

The Ducks' energy certainly didn't seem to be lacking in the 1st half, but the team just made too many mistakes to ever succeed. Oregon looked more like a team that was getting back into the rhythm of playing in the games rather than a team that took its opponent lightly.
The good news is that whatever Dan Lanning said to the team in the locker room certainly worked, as Oregon has come out firing to start the second half. The Ducks got the ball to start the half and instantly tied the game before the defense forced a Boise State punt to start their second half.
Oregon is clearly the more talented team, and if the coaches can get the players to stop setting themselves back, this can quickly flip into a fun game for the Ducks.
