College football coaches have it rough. They have some of the toughest jobs in the country and to be a coach, you have to be a little psychotic.
It's a good thing that Dan Lanning fits that exact description.
While appearing on The Dan Patrick show this week, Lanning shared his wake-up routine which features about a dozen alarms set just minutes apart from each other.
This man is just insane in the best possible way.

As you can see, Lanning scrolled through his morning alarms and there's one for 4:30 a.m., another for 4:35, followed by 4:44, 4:46, 4:49, 4:53, and 4:56 a.m.
Yes, this is real.
And I know what you're probably thinking: we all do this. And I do get that. To an extent, we're all guilty of having wild alarm wake-up routines, but having a dozen spaced out by no more than a few minutes is actually wild. I can only assume he wakes up his family every morning before the rest of Oregon is up because of his dozen alarms prior to 5 a.m. PT.
This is yet another reason why Lanning is such a fun guy to cover because he's always showing his quirks and isn't afraid to be himself. Showing that he has a dozen pre-5 a.m. alarms is both hilarious and psychotic and that's why he's a perfect fit for Oregon.
If you ever wonder why Lanning is having the success that he is as the Ducks' head coach, look no further than his wake-up routine set by a dozen alarms that don't let him sleep in past 5 a.m.
This man is a flat-out football guy. And he's just a little crazy.
