The Oregon Ducks have started to pick up some momentum on the recruiting trail as Dan Lanning and his staff have reeled in offensive linemen Gus Corsair and Cameron Wagner. This class is starting to take shape, but ranked 9th in the country, the Ducks are still going to need to make a big move if the streak of signing top 5 classes is going to continue.
Luckily for Dan Lanning and the staff, the busiest portion of the recruiting calendar has arrived as official visit season is underway, with the Nation's top recruits traveling all over the country before likely picking their future school. While the Ducks have already started to build up a loaded schedule with recruits, it never hurts to get more pieces on campus, especially when it's at the expense of UCLA and USC.
Damani Warren cancels two visits while adding Oregon to list
Nevada has become a solid recruiting ground as of late for Oregon, as they reeled in the state's top prospect, 5-star safety Jett Washington, last year. The latest target in Nevada for the Ducks is wide receiver recruit Damani Warren, who decided to cancel visits with UCLA and USC while adding Oregon and Michigan to the mix.

The Ducks will now host Damani Warren on June 12th, giving the staff a great opportunity to make a solid impression. Anytime you can get a visit near the end of a player's visit schedule, it only helps as you remain fresh in their minds before they officially make their decision.
Given that two of the Trojans' top wide receiver commits are potential flip candidates, getting Warren on campus while canceling his visit to USC is another blow for Lincoln Riley. The recruiting tear that UCLA has been on as of late makes it a positive sign that the Bruins are no longer in the mix with Warren which is rare to say.
According to Rivals' Industry Recruiting Rankings, Damani Warren is the 382nd ranked player in the country, the 54th ranked wide receiver in the class, and the 4th ranked player out of Nevada. Warren isn't the only Nevada native the Ducks are after, as 5-star cornerback Hayden Stepp is a high-priority recruit for the staff.
At 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, Damani Warren has the frame to be an exciting playmaker on the outside if Oregon can reel him in. The Ducks have eyed Warren for a long time as Dan Lanning and his staff hosted him last spring before getting him back on campus in April where the staff clearly did enough to earn further consideration with the new official visit plan.
As things currently stand, Oregon is without a commitment from a wide receiver in this cycle, but that should change quickly, given that the Ducks have the Nation's top QB, Will Mencl, already committed. Dakota Guerrant, Xavier Sabb, Julius Jones, and several other playmakers, including Warren, will be recruits to watch as the Ducks look to build a class of playmakers.
