The Oregon Ducks sent as big of a statement as you can in college football, going on the road to upset the 12th ranked Ohio State Buckeyes. Dan Lanning's team didn't just beat Ohio State, the Ducks embarrassed them, scoring 38 straight points to empty out The Shoe before the midway point in the 4th quarter.
Any Oregon fans who have complained about Dan Lanning not bringing the same energy and swagger this season won't be able to make that complaint after this game. Lanning was back to making gutsy decisions, attempting a fake punt and taking a massive risk before the half to spark his team to win the game.
While Dan Lanning showed that swagger everyone has been looking for with his decisions in the game, he also showed he's still elite when it comes to talking trash with an all-time troll.
Dan Lanning's scoreboard taunt shows his swagger is all the way back
Late in the 4th Quarter, the Ohio State defense finally showed some fight as the Ducks scored 38 straight points on them. Rather than showing the fight with their play, Ohio State decided to try and spark a brawl near the Ducks' sideline. As the Buckeyes players were talking trash, Dan Lanning dropped the mic going with the classic scoreboard taunt.

When Dan Lanning directed Ohio State fans to check the scoreboard, it likely wasn't very hard for the team to find it, as the sea of Buckeyes fans who were there to start the game were gone. Oregon emptied out The Shoe with roughly 13 minutes left in the game, as the Ducks made it a miserable day for the Scarlet and Grey.
The Oregon Ducks started this game in a 14 point hole, and Ohio State fans and the players were all riding high when things were going their way. At the end of the 1st half, Dan Lanning snatched Ohio State's soul with a fake punt, Devin Jackson's interception, and the decision to go for a touchdown rather than kicking a field goal with 2 seconds left in the first half.
The Buckeyes got to talk all the trash they wanted to as the game was already in hand, and Jeremiah Smith got to do a stepover celebration in the 4th quarter, but not only did Oregon win the game, but they likely ended Ohio State's season. Ryan Day's team now has 3 losses on the season, and with the way the team has played on both sides of the football, the end of the stretch may not be in sight.
Oregon broke Ohio State on Saturday, and Dan Lanning got the last laugh with an incredible troll and a massive rode victory.
