Despite a wave of departures from the Oregon men's basketball program, including starters Jackson Shelted and Kwame Evans Jr., the Ducks are looking just fine for next season thanks to head coach Dana Altman and the transfer portal.

However, beyond the portal, Altman is keeping pace with some of the best head coaches and recruiters in the country as they all work to lure five-star small forward Tyran Stokes in their direction.

Stokes has narrowed down his list of potential future teams to just three programs: Oregon, Kansas, and Kentucky, placing the Ducks alongside two blue-blood programs.

This isn't exactly news. Throughout Stokes' lengthy recruiting process, which could continue for another couple of months, he has slowly narrowed his search.

Tyran Stokes seems to cement final 3 schools

Over the last couple of weeks, however, he has hinted at the possibility of other programs rejoining the front of the pack. Today, he reshared his post that listed the Ducks, the Jayhawks, and the Wildcats as his final three, seemingly cementing them at the top.

Stokes, the No. 1 prospect in the class of 2026, is a Washington native and visited the Ducks in September of last year. More recently, he has taken trips to see the Kansas Jayhawks on January 31 and the Kentucky Wildcats on April 13.

Despite his ties to the Pacific Northwest, most recruiting experts are leaning toward the Jayhawks and head coach Bill Self earning his commitment.

Even so, Altman's ability to recruit alongside the best is a continued sign of his greatness as a head coach and the Ducks' continued need for him as a part of their program.
