Fresh off an incredible NFL Draft weekend, coupled with the annual Spring Game, and an exciting few days of wins for softball and baseball, the Oregon Ducks are nowhere near finished proving that they have one of the best athletic programs in the nation.
On Monday morning, the Ducks announced a new initiative, scheduling an international showcase in which star players and coaches will work with Japanese football players and coaches in Tokyo this summer.
Oregon head coach Dan Lanning and a slew of star players will head to Tokyo to introduce "7-on-7 American football within the Japanese football community," a country that has played American flag football for years, but hasn't fully immersed itself in the 7-on-7 style of the game.
The "Tokyo Oregon Football Showcase presented by Flight Club" is set to be the first of its kind, with Dante Moore, Dakorien Moore, Jamari Johnson, Jeremiah McClellan, Evan Stewart, Jordon Davison, and Dierre Hill Jr. joining Lanning in the trip to Japan.

Now, this isn't the usual international trip for a college football team, with a handful of programs playing games in Europe early in the season.
Instead, Lanning and the players will lead coaching clinics, as well as showing the Japanese players "fundamental skills, core concepts, and techniques."
"The opportunity to represent the University of Oregon in Tokyo is a once-in-a-lifetime experience," Lanning said. "Football has taken all of us to incredible places, and it will be special to connect with players and coaches who love this game as much as we do."
A once-in-a-lifetime experience awaits the Ducks in Tokyo.

The Ducks are partnering with the Japan Gridiron Association, and the showcase will take place at The American School in Japan.
The showcase is supported by Division Street, a sports venture company that supports Oregon student-athletes, and Flight Club, the NYC-based rare shoe store that has evolved into a leader of the industry over the last two decades.
