Despite Nebraska's Dylan Raiola being compared to three-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Patrick Mahomes at seemingly every turn of the season, the Kansas City Chiefs' play caller prefers to watch a different college QB.
When he made his appearance on ESPN's College GameDay ahead of Week 11's kickoff, Mahomes picked the Ducks to defeat the Iowa Hawkeyes, even though many people were questioning Oregon's chances in the Big Ten matchup.
The biggest reason he picked Oregon over Iowa? Well, Mahomes said, "Dante Moore might be my favorite quarterback to watch in college."
Boom, just like that, Moore had received the recognition that he deserved, and it came from a quarterback who has repeatedly been compared to the G.O.A.T., Tom Brady.

As Oregon has fought and clawed its way to a 7-1 overall record (4-1 Big Ten), Moore has been the undeniable leader on offense. His poise in the pocket and his maturity, both on and off the field, have helped the Ducks keep their cool in difficult situations.
While he hasn't received comparisons to all-time great quarterbacks at the same rate as Raiola has, he has earned a spot in the Heisman conversation.
Dante Moore in the Heisman conversation
Yes, quarterbacks like Ohio State's Julian Sayin, Alabama's Ty Simpson, and others lead the charge for who will win the Heisman Trophy at the end of the regular season. Still, nobody can deny that Moore's performances so far this season have been among the best in the country.
Moore has earned 1,772 passing yards and 19 touchdowns through the air while completing over 71 percent of his pass attempts and throwing just four interceptions. He has earned an additional 131 rushing yards and has only been sacked nine times through the first eight games of the year.
In the face of intense pressure, Moore has been unflappable, and the compliment from Mahomes should just be the beginning of the quarterback's Heisman campaign.
