ESPN NFL inside Adam Schefter posted today that the Cleveland Browns have revealed their first depth chart of the 2025 season ahead of Friday's exhibition game at Carolina. Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders remains fourth in the pecking order with Dillon Gabriel third.
Early Monday evening Schefter reported that the team is signing ex-Baltimore and Miami quarterback Tyler Huntley as backup Kenny Pickett remains out with a hamstring injury. Huntley started three seasons for the Utah Utes 2017-2019, winning division titles in each of his last two seasons in the PAC-12 South.
It's been an injury-plagued year for the Browns at QB. DeShaun Watson remains out for the year after surgery on a torn achilles. Pickett hasn't practiced in two weeks. Gabriel's hindered by a tight hamstring, limited in practice Monday and woefully ineffective Friday, hitting the wall with a 3-14 day in which he couldn't complete routine throws.
On the Browns’ first depth chart of the season, they list their QBs in this order:

Podcasts and talk shows appear ready to write him off as a potential NFL QB, calling him "wildly down and wildly inaccurate."
The Browns' move to add Huntley seems to reflect a lack of confidence in Flacco and the two rookies. Friday's exhibition game will be more closely watched than normal, with either Gabriel or Sanders fighting to avoid The Turk, the dreaded footsteps down the hall followed by, "Coach wants to see you. And bring your playbook."
Duck fans have to hoping that Oregon's 2024 Heisman Finalist shakes off a couple of bad days and finds his rhythm as a pro prospect.
