Dillon Gabriel drove the Cleveland Browns 86 yards in 11 plays, completing a three-yard pass to Gage Larvadain for a touchdown with 17 seconds left in the first half for his first pro touchdown.
Gabriel put together a 12-19 passing performance good for 129 yards, the TD pass, no sacks, no interceptions.
Starter Joe Flacco opened the game 9-10 for 71 yards and one score, while Shedeur Sanders went 3-6 for 41 yards, sacked five times.
In the team's last preseason game before opening at home against Cincinnati on September 7, Gabriel had his sharpest outing as a pro.

On NFL Live, former NFL coach Herman Edwards said, "I thought Shedeur Sanders played well in the preseason, but when I watched Dillon Gabriel play, oh boy, that was different."
For the Rams, former Duck teammate Terrance Ferguson caught two passes for 48 yards, including a 39-yarder, a nice over-the-shoulder grab on a ball down the left sideline in the second quarter.

Sanders looked terrific in his pro debut against Charlotte two weeks ago but struggled miserably today behind a porous second-string offensive line.

On the second play the former Colorado quarterback held the ball for 8.4 seconds. That's only good in rodeo.
No. 5 quarterback Tyler Huntley finished the game for the Browns, pulling out the game 19-17 with a field goal drive late in the fourth quarter. The team finishes the preseason slate 3-0.
Elsewhere in Saturday's last round of NFL preseason action Bo Nix started for the Broncos, a crisp 10-14 passing for 110 yards and a 19-yard touchdown pass to Courtland Sutton. Former Duck Tyler Shough connected on 12-20 for 102 yards in his battle to win the starting job for New Orleans.
