Defensive lineman Bear Alexander, a notorious player for being in the transfer portal, has found his next home: the Oregon Ducks. Alexander, who entered the transfer portal on Dec. 9 and visited the Ducks in Eugene ahead of Oregon's week off during the first round of the College Football Playoffs.

Just a few hours after Alexander posted his pictures from his Oregon visit, the former USC defensive lineman shared that he had committed to head coach Dan Lanning and the Ducks.

Alexander, a junior, started his collegiate career with the Georgia Bulldogs in 2022 but played in just eight games for the SEC program before entering the portal and taking his talents to the USC Trojans in 2023.

Over the last two seasons, Alexander amassed 52 total tackles, 2 pass deflections, and 1.5 sacks for the Trojans, despite playing in just three games for USC in 2024. In fact, the now-three program player has only played in 23 games throughout his three-year-long collegiate career.

During the 2023 season, while playing for the Trojans, Alexander recorded a career-high 6 total tackles in four of USC's regular season games. The defensive lineman contributed 4 total tackles in USC's postseason game against then-No. 15 Louisville to cap off his only complete season thus far.

Alexander was a four-star prospect when he was coming out of high school in 2022 and is currently regarded as one of the top defensive linemen in the NCAA winter transfer portal. When Alexander was a prospect, the Oregon Ducks did not offer the high school recruit an offer.
