Aaron Flowers ranged in to knock away a long pass near the goal line and get the Oregon defense off the field early in the second quarter. Wisconsin downed the punt at the two in driving rain.
Oregon's offense had gotten little going in their first four possessions, and now they were backed up with little room to operate.
On third and 6 Moore hit Jeremiah McClellan for 18 yards along the left sideline, Oregon's most reliable receiving threat today. On third and 7 the drive looked stalled, but then a screen finally worked, a tunnel screen to reserve tight end Jamari Johnson produced the biggest gain of the game so far, weaving his way up the middle of the field for 23.
Davison applied a spark to the running game, pounding the middle for 6, 11, 11 and 7. The drive reached the 12, 3rd and 2. Davison plunged ahead for the first down to the Wisconsin 9, the clock down to 2:00 and the official timeout.
So far it had been a 13-play, 90-yard drive. Moore kept around the left side down to the 2, but the Ducks took an offsides penalty instead. To the five. Dante Moore had Dakorien Moore open in the back of the end zone but three Badgers pressured him into a wild throw.
An encroachment penalty backed it up five. Moore sidearmed a screen to Sadiq, then Davison shed two tacklers to barrel into the end zone, touchdown, 7-0 at 1:07.

Challenge accepted: 16 plays, 99 yards for the first score of the game. Davison carried the ball 9 times for 49 yards, Oregon's most effective weapon.
Wisconsin is running zone coverage just like Indiana w/o much simulated pressure.

Play calling has to have answers.
We are back to flat offense. Lovely.

Oregon is making Wisconsin look much better than they really are.

Possibly one of the most uninspired quarters of football I've seen from Oregon in ages

On the ensuing possession the defense stuffed two running plays to set up 3rd and 5 with 50 seconds to play. They gave up 6 on a run off left tackle. Wisconsin ran 20 times in the first hafl for 90 yards, a disappointing result given they'd completed 1-9 passes for 12 yards.
