Ziyare Addison is a 6-5, 290 freshman from Carrollwood Day High School in Tampa. Florida. In high school he ran the 100-meter dash and wrestled to improve his conditioning and speed for football, an all-around athlete with a plan for his development.
The Ducks were blessed to win his recruitment over a host of schools. Though he has a bright future as an offensive lineman he was one of a dozen young players who didn't make the trip to Penn State this weekend, on track to redshirt, which is not uncommon for freshman linemen. Their bodies typically need time in the training room and the nutrition program to reach their potential.
Addison and his young teammates could have sat around and moped after not making the trip, though there are plenty of big games and trips in his future. Instead he chose another path, teaming with Fusion Curry Pizza to deliver pizzas to homeless people.

Homelessness is a complex problem, and it's well beyond the scope of this article or this website to enter in to its causes and solutions. What's impressive about Addison's gesture is that he did so with a smile and his face and love in his heart, and he reached out to the people with a handshake as well as warm meal. He met them where they were.
"One of my big goals this year was to give back to the community," he said. "I'm here to do good for God and for the University of Oregon, Go Ducks."
Addison was a four-star recruit. More importantly, he appears to be a five-star person.
