Offensive tackle Josh Conerly joined Derrick Harmon as a first-round pick in the NFL draft Thursday night, giving the Ducks two first-round selections for the first time since Marcus Mariota and Arik Armstead in 2015.
Harmon went 21st to the Steelers. The Washington Commanders chose Conerly with the 29th pick of the opening round.
A five-star prospect in the class of 2022, Dan Lanning's first class at Oregon, Conerly played in all 13 games as a true freshman and started 28 games in a row as a sophomore and junior, allowing one sack in two years.
The Ducks plucked him out of Rainier Beach High School in Seattle. He blossomed into 6-3, 315 athletic offensive tackle, a first team All-Big-Ten selection in 2024 and third team AP All-American on a Big Ten Conference Champion.
As a No. 29 pick Conerly will sign a four-year contract worth $14,222,886 with a first-year salary of $2,585,979. He'll join Marcus Mariota on the roster of the Commanders.
