Wednesday morning on social media 2026 quarterback Matt Ponatoski announced he received a scholarship offer from Oregon.

Ponatoski, a 6-2, 190 Rivals four-star from Moeller High School in Cincinnati, said he received the offer after a visit and a workout with Will Stein.

Moeller is a big-time program in Ohio with 9 state championships, the last in 2013. Ponatoski's unranked nationally by Rivals, but the 247Sports Composite places him at No. 291 and the No. 21 quarterback. He's garnered 14 offers including Arkansas, Wake Forest and Kentucky.

The Ducks are still pursuing 5-star quarterback Ryder Lyons, who makes an official visit on June 13. Lyons is deciding between BYU, USC and Oregon.

Ponatoski led the Crusaders to a 14-1 record last season, named Ohio State Gatorade Player of the Year. He passed for 4,085 yards and 56 touchdowns against just three interceptions in 15 games, also the shortstop for the Moeller baseball team.

He's mobile and accurate in the quick read game and a good athlete. He's hitting .476 in baseball, a pro prospect as an infielder with a 3.91 GPA.
