The Ducks earned a gritty victory in Kinnick Stadium, driving 54 yards in the final 10 plays for Atticus Sappington's third field goal of the game to win 18-16.
It looked grim after Mark Gronowski completed four timely passes and took the Hawkeyes on a 12-play, 93-yard drive in the final eight minutes to give Iowa the lead at 16-15 over the Oregon Ducks in the cold and the driving rain, Gronowski scoring the go-ahead touchdown on a keeper, fourth and goal from the 3.
Oregon had 1:51 to drive for a winning field goal. A gorgeous back shoulder throw from Dante Moore to Malik Benson took the ball to the Iowa 27 with 22 seconds to play. Moore hit McClellan for six more yards down to the Iowa 21 on a slant.

With 11 seconds to play, a pass to Benson went long with some contact. Iowa was flagged for one penalty all day.
On 4th down, Atticus Sappington connected on a 39-yard yard field goal to win the game 18-16.
The Oregon kicker curse is broken, and Dante Moore led a clutch drive to win the game and bring the Ducks to 8-1, fully alive for the playoffs.
Sappington's squib kick was fumbled and recovered by the Ducks. Oregon rushed 36 times for 261 yards, 7.3 yards a carry.
"I've been through this moment a hundred times already," Moore said to CBS sideline reporter Jenny Dell. "It starts at practice." Then he went to the end zone to share a prayer of thanks with center Iapani Laloulu.
