Dante Moore's pass was tipped away to start the second quarter. The Beavers reached midfield, the Ducks stopped two running plays, one a TFL by Teitum Tuioti,, then a third down pass fell incomplete, nearly intercepted by Kingston Lopa.
Gary Bryant bobbled the punt, tackled at the Oregon 8.
The Ducks had a game on their hands, and they were playing sleepily. Two runs by Makhi Hughes pushed the ball out to the 19. Moore kept on a rollout right, absorbing a hit but good for four. On third and four, Sdiq made a tough catch over the middle for a first down.
A first down pass down the seam went through Dakorien's hands. Moore hit Malik Benson on an out route, good for nine yards and a first down on thrid and 8. A first down run around the left side lost 6, but Moore to Moore on a back shoulder fade to Benson went for 31 yards to the 20.

The Ducks gave up nine yards on two runs. An option left gained just enough for the first down. Boettcher dropped a reverse for two-yard gain. On third and 6 at the two-minute time out, Murphy's pass went high and wide.
The optimal strategy against the Ducks so far is to play slowdown ball, limiting possessions, keeping the ball on the ground. With two minutes to play in the second quarter OSU ran the football 19 times for 58 yards, 3.1 yards a carry.
The Ducks took the ball at the 20, 1:48 to play with three timeouts.
Moore scrambled to the 38, a 28-yard gain. An underneath route to Limar gained 12, then Moore hit Moore with another deft back shoulder fade down to the 1. A screen to McClellan lost yards back to the 3.
