Getting a key block from Alex Harkey playing left tackle, Jayden Limar bolted around the left side for a 14-yard touchdown on the first series of the year against Montana State for a 7-0 lead.
Third and two when the Bobcats had the ball, A'Mauri Washington collapsed the line of scrimmage for a two-yard loss, three and out. Then receiver Jeremiah McClellan got a hand on the punt, blocking it out of bounds at the Bobcat 40.
Offense, defense, special teams, a perfect start.

Dakorien Moore took a reverse around the right side for 17 yards--big plays, no plain vanilla.
Kenyon Sadiq took advantage of his size and strength edge, taking a quick pass in the left flat, shedding a tackler and cruising into the end zone for a 20-yard touchdown. Ducks 14-0.

The first quarter execution was fabulous. On the first play of the game Harkey lined up at right tackle and collapsed the edge, setting up Noah Whittington for a 35-yard burst on a nice cutback.
Midway through the second quarter, the Ducks forced another three and out and blocked another kick, taking over at the Montana 11, blocked by redshirt freshman Peyton Woodyard.
With no one open on third down, Moore scrambled for five yards. Atticus Sappington hit a 23-yard field goal for a 17-0 lead.
It was as crisp and disciplined as a start could be, marred only by a bad hit on Emmanuel Pregnon, rolled up on while pass blocking and headed to the medical tent.
The Bobcats made their first first down at 5:25 of the first quarter. Pregnon made his way to the locker room for a more detailed exam.
MSU strung together a couple of first downs and chose to go for it on 4th and 1 near midfield. Washington got penetration again, combining for with Blake Purchase to stuff the play for a turnover on downs.
