It's the highest-ranked matchup on the slate for Week 13 as ESPN College Football GameDay readies to announce their Week 13 location. No. 17 USC travels to Autzen Stadium Saturday for a playoff-elimination showdown against No. 8 Oregon, 12:30 p.m. PT on CBS.

Early reports have the popular college football pregame show going to James Madison, Virginia for the game between 5-5 Washington State at 9-1 James Madison, the current favorite to make the College Football Playoff as the highest-ranked Group of Five team.

Missouri (7-3) is at No. 11 Oklahoma, fresh off an upset of No. 4 Alabama. No. 23 Tennessee plays at 3-7 Florida. Vanderbilt hosts Kentucky, the Commodores still in the playoff hunt at 8-2. The rest of the SEC schedule is dotted with lackluster matchups like Samford at Texas A&M and Charlotte at Georgia.

USC and Oregon were snubbed despite the game featuring two ranked teams with potent offenses with the playoffs on the line. The show came to the Emerald City on October 11 for the Indiana game. Over the years, they've shown a preference for mixing up locations and settings. Just this weekend they passed up Texas at Georgia for Notre Dame at Pittsburgh.

The show does its best to celebrate all of college football, even though the network has a strong SEC lean. Being featured on the program is a showcase for a university and recruiting. Oregon has been on GameDay 34 times, with a record of 20-14. They've hosted the show 13 times.

Update: Despite the earlier report from JMU, Oregon is indeed hosting ESPN College GameDay on Saturday, confirmed by goducks.com and the College GameDay website.
