The energy is high and the turnout is impressive as Dan Lanning takes the stage at ESPN College Football GameDay.

Nick Saban noted that both Curt Cignetti and Lanning were guys who coached for him, but they were polar opposites. He asked how Lanning planned to deal with the Hoosiers' RPO game and the bind it creates for defenders.

"Indiana kind of has RPOs and advantage throws with every running play," Saban said. "How do you stop both of those things in this game?"

"In a game like this you kind of have to cheat the system. You've kind of have to be halfway on this and halfway on that."

"I always tell our players, 'You've got to farm your land.' Everybody's got a job. Do your job. Don't worry about doing somebody else's."

"It'll be big to take away their great wideouts on the perimeter and they've got a great run game that we've got to be able to handle with the defensive line and the linebackers up front."

He chided the GameDay panel for not wearing yellow this week after they all showed up in white suits for the White Out game at Penn State. They could have looked like the Savannah Bananas, who are coming to Autzen Stadium nextt June.

Pat McAfee noted that Oregon's road win in Happy Valley might be the biggest road victory in college football this season. He asked Lanning what he expected from the crowd at Autzen today.

"Our crowd is going to be unbelievable. We have the best fans in college football. I can't wait to to see them do their thing today."
