The cinematic recap from Oregon video came out for week one Monday night, and it never disappoints. In the meetings leading up to the season opener Dan Lanning tells his team that it's time to '"ante up" for Game One.
As fans file into Autzen Stadium from the River Walk, exchanging high fives with The Duck,Jerry Allen provides the voiceover from the radio broadcast. "Well it was a historic year, Big Ten Champions."
"Parking lot beginning to fill up. The leaves are beginning to admit they don't have much time left. But Duck fans, you've got lots of time to enjoy Duck football."
"It's the noise, it's the excitement. It's what we wait for each and every year. Dan Lanning said as the Ducks look forward to the 2025 season, they're looking to double down in a lot of ways."
In a meeting Dan Lanning tells the team, "To double down, you've got to be in the game. Our mindset: Ante Up."
That music. We've grown to know what it means.
From field level you see the passion and the effort, the strength and commitment on that sideline. Kenyon Sadiq and Gary Bryant Jr. shake off tacklers and steam into the end zone, ropes of muscle in their arms.
This weekend Mike Gundy wants to only talk about the money, pleading poverty. But the film tells another important part of the story, the hard work. Bodies like that are built in practice and the weight room. Oregon brought an impressive array of talent to Eugene, and there's no reason to apologize for that.

But what validates the ratings and rankings is the work, the willingness to ante up. The Ducks are ready for the turn and the river. All their chips are on the table.
