"It's the Grateful Ducks honoring the Grateful Dead," Jerry Allen said. "A stadium full of kids."
Oregon video's Week 8 "Ducks vs Them" release, "One More Saturday" is shot partly on film and thus instantly nostalgic, focusing on the fans and the players in way the telecast or a view from the stands cannot.
The 13 song changes make it a trip down memory lane for some, a crash course for others.
Na'eem Offord covered the onside kick at the Wisconsin 42, and four days later Scott Anderson's field-level camera finally gives a clear view of it. Appropriately, the soundtrack plays "Alabama." The 6-1, 195 freshman is from Birmingham.
TV didn't capture how brutal the conditions were in Autzen Stadium Saturday. It was a rock fight in a downpour with winds that whipped, difficult to the throw the football or even play, a day most kids would have come inside. A hardy group of male students danced with the Duck bare shirted.
In the locker room, Brock Thomas led the traditional breakdown. The team lifted him on their shoulders.
Dan Lanning told his team, "A lot of things I'm proud about within this game. One of the things I'm most proud about is the unselfish play. That game took a certain flavor."
"We all saw the conditions. That's not the easiest game we're going to throw the ball in, agreed?"
"We said the most physical team was going to win the ball game. I'm proud of how all our wide receivers blocked in that game."
"I'm proud of how we came out in the second half and we said we were going to physically dominate you up and down the line of scrimmage."
The Ducks ran for 203 yards in the game, taking the lead late in the first half with a 99-yard drive, 164 yards rushing in the second half.
They threw just four passes after the break, all complete, although one was tipped high in the air before Jeremiah McClellan caught it for a short gain, and another went right through the hands of a defender before Dakorien Moore alertly grabbed it along the right sideline, draped over another Badger and nearly out of bounds.
In those moments they got a little bit lucky, but luck is part of the game. After all, their season turned this year on a play where Noah Whittington was down by a few blades of grass.
