No. 8 Oregon continues their drive toward a home playoff game with a Friday night tilt versus the Minnesota Golden Gophers at Autzen Stadium, 6 p.m. PT on Fox.

Wednesday the Ducks released pictures and video of this week's uniforms, including a first-ever white helmet with two green stripes and a green "O" on each side. It pairs the new with the traditional, a green jersey with yellow numerals right out of the Gang Green era, crisp all-white pants.

Defensive linemen A'Mauri Washington serves as the uniform model, fresh off another strong performance at Kinnick Stadium, three tackles, one quarterback hurry and four solid quarters of keeping the interior offensive line off the linebackers--Jerry Mixon racked up a career-high 13 tackles, nine solo, partly because of the dirty work Washington and Bear Alexander did on play after play.

They limited a strong Iowa rushing attack to 3.3 yards per rush on a day they had to run the football, part of the difference in the ball game. That's disruptive by design, indeed.

The bright white gloves will show up well when they grab the jersey and drive the opponent back into the quarterback's face, perhaps avoiding those pesky incorrect hands-to-the face penalties.
