Oregon bounced back, and how. They overwhelmed Rutgers with a road record 750 yards of offense, scoring touchdowns on seven straight possessions before a third quarter interception, rushing for 415 yards on 36 carries, 11.5 a carry.
Oddly the game started badly for the Ducks. Rutgers busted through the blocking for a four-yard loss on the second play of the game, then Gary Bryant Jr. took a short pass on third and 11 and fumbled at the Oregon 32.
The defense knocked away three passes but Jack Scullion hit a personal-best 51-yard field goal for a 3-0 lead.
Oregon responded with an onslaught. On 3rd and 3 Noah Whittington took a toss left behind blocks by Emmanuel Pregnon, Isaiah World and Jordon Davison and sprinted for a 68-yard touchdown, the Ducks longest run of the year.

After a sure tackle by nickelback Jadon Canaday led to a three and out.
The Ducks drove 87 yards in 10 plays, scoring on a beautifully thrown seam pass from Dante Moore to Kenyon Sadiq for 30 yards.
The rout was on. Amauri Washington batted a pass in the air, intercepted by Blake Purchase. Moore rolled right and hits Gary Bryant on the run, for 24 yards. He looked calm and collected under pressure today. Moore hit Sadiq for another touchdown, this one for 21 yards.

Aaron Flowers put a helmet on the ball and Theran Johnson came up with it. Ducks ball on the Rutgers 49. A couple of plays later Moore found Dakorien Moore for a 34-yard TD, this one on a nifty corner-post double move.
By halftime the Ducks rolled up 446 yards to 117, holding the Scarlet Knights to 2.6 yards per play. They led 42-3.
Jordon Davison bolted for a 67-yard run, then a 20-yard touchdown. In all they rushed 36 times for 415 yards, 11.5 a carry. Moore completed 14-20 passes for 290 yards and four touchdowns, marred only by a third quarter interception thrown to a well-covered Gary Bryant Jr.
After a disappointing loss to Indiana at home last weekend, the concern was how would the Ducks bounce back and respond. The Ducks had 13 runs over 10 yards, explosive runs of 68, 67, 35 and 35 yards, pass plays of 56, 35. 34, 30, 24 yards.
An offense that was stymied and throttled a week ago responded with great urgency. It was a strong and focused effort by the offensive line, which looked more effective and consistent with Gernorris Wilson at right tackle with Alex Harkey sliding over to right guard.
