Oaks Christian High School corner back Davon Benjamin committed to Oregon live on the Rivals/On3 YouTube channel Saturday afternoon.
Surrounded by friends and family the Top Ten corner said, "I'll be taking my talents to the University of Oregon, baby."
"Coach Lanning, Tosh Lupoi they all just showed me love. It was really having a strong support team that cared for me on and off the field."
"It was time to be a Duck."
On3 studio host Josh Newberg asked, What are the Ducks getting in you?
"A straight dog that's going to come there ready to work. I'm not done with my story. I want to get that second contract."
Oregon missed on Deuce Geralds earlier today, but landing Anthony "Tank" Jones and Davon Benjamin in one weekend is a monumental success that will elevate them into the Top Five nationally.
Benjamin intercepted six passes in 2024, returning three for touchdowns. He makes the 17th commitment in their 2026 class.
Rivals analyst Adam Gorney called him "Deommodore Lenoir 2.0," the 2017-2020 Oregon cornerback in his fifth season with the San Francisco 49ers.
