At 10 a.m. on Wednesday the Early Signing Day took a twist as shocking as Anthony Perkins in his mother's dress, or the brunette from Austin Texas ditching the Golden Bachelor at the fantasy suite dinner.

Five-star Ohio State wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. has not signed, according to Rivals, yet CBS and the Cincinnati Enquirer are reporting that he has.

These conflicting reports came out within minutes of each other,

Though no commitment is final until a player enrolls in school, suits up for practice and stays on the roster through the end of the Transfer Portal, it does look like Henry Jr. is a Buckeye, destined to take his place in a loaded offense, and a future NFL prospect at 6-5 205.

The back-and-forth just adds juice to a loaded Early Signing Period where close to 20 coaches have new jobs and Penn State doesn't have one.

Jon Rhodes of "The Big Ten Huddle" reported at 9:30 a.m. that "The On3 sites for USC and Oregon are reporting that Chris Henry Jr. did not actually sign with Ohio State today and that Ohio State did not inform Henry of Hartline's decision prior to Henry's signing ceremony."

There are conflicting reports, and most OSU sites and sources, including Ryan Day, are saying that Hartline DID notify his recruits and Henry is solid to the Buckeyes.

Meanwhile, top quarterback Ryder Lyons doesn't plan to sign today with BYU. Stay tuned. There's still time for a bit more recruiting chaos.
