There's no game this weekend, a bye week before an Autzen Stadium showdown with No. 8 Indiana on October 11, but the Oregon coaches stayed busy visiting top high school recruits around the country.

Dan Lanning traveled to Alabama to see 5-star edge rusher Anthony "Tank" Jones from St. Paul's Episcopal School. Jones' squad topped Gulf Shores 27-23, the 6-3, 245 2026 prospect stuffing a running play for a loss in the Red Zone in the first quarter.

In Reidsville, North Carolina Duck 5-star commit at tight end Kendre Harrison exploded in a game against Rockingham Country, snatching seven catches for 129 yards and three touchdowns.

Tosh Lupoi checked in at Oaks Christian High School in Corona, California, sneaking out onto to the field as 2026 defensive back Davon Benjamin plucked an interception in the end zone and took it back the length of the field for a Pick Six. Lupoi has found his next Dillon Thieneman.

Down in Cedar Hill, Texas, 6-3, 302 2027 defensive lineman Jalen Brewster announces his commitment today, a five-star explosive monster whose father Robert was drafted in the third round by the Dallas Cowboys.

Bryson Beaver and 5-1 Vista Murrieta lost their first game of the season Friday night, falling 28-20 to Dane Weber and Chaparral in Temecula, California. Beaver threw a 19-yard touchdown pass to Zachary Aleman in the third quarter, a 35-yard TD to Cash Bryant in the fourth.

This week the Ducks made a new offer to wide receiver Milan Paris, an Iowa State commit from Walsh Jesuit High in Stow, Ohio, 6-5, 205 with a long, long wingspan (6 feet, 9 inches and big catch radius.

Watch Duck linebacker Tristan Phillips plow two defenders on his way to end zone for a 12-yard touchdown. Have to love a linebacker who plays running back in linebacker style.
