Quarterback Dante Moore is getting more buzz than any player on the Ducks heading into what will likely be his final season of college football. After a breakout 2025 season, Dante Moore was receiving a ton of projections to be the 2nd overall pick in the draft behind Fernando Mendoza, but he opted to return to school instead.

ESPN Analyst Sam Acho picks Dante Moore to win the Heisman Trophy
Appearing on ESPN's SportsCenter, analyst Sam Acho made his pick for the Heisman Trophy, picking the Oregon Ducks star quarterback.

Picking Dante Moore to win the Heisman isn't a stretch, as FanDuel Sportsbook lists him with the 4th best odds to win the award at +1200, trailing only CJ Carr (+700), Arch Manning (+800), and Darian Mensah at (+1000).

Last season, Dante Moore was outstanding, going 296-412 (71.8%) for 3,565 yards and 30 touchdowns with 10 interceptions while rushing for 156 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The biggest area for improvement for Dante Moore would be cutting down on the interceptions and raising his completion percentage.
While the Ducks will be changing offensive coordinators, the system shouldn't change too much, which should allow Dante Moore to take a major step forward in his second season in the offense. Moore has built chemistry with key weapons Dakorien Moore, Jamari Johnson, and Jeremiah McClellan while the return of Evan Stewart will only help the offense.
The hype around Dante Moore is sky-high, but he's already shown that he's capable of delivering on the expectations. Oregon will only go as far as the quarterback takes them, and the Ducks have the signal-caller capable of making this a truly special season.
