Tuesday morning Frisco, Texas wide receiver Jalen Lott became Oregon's 14th commitment in the 2026 class, choosing Oregon over LSU, USC and Texas.

On Dave Campbell's Texas Football YouTube Channel Lott said, "I'm truly blessed to be in this position." He thanked his coaches and his parents.

He said the relationship with the Oregon star was a key for him, and he intends to participate in track at UO as well.

On3 Sports ranks the Panther Creek High prospect as the No. 2 athlete and No. 54 overall recruit in the country. He's an explosive plus-athlete who high jumps 7 feet and clears 24' 3" in the long jump, district champion in the 110 meter hurdles.

As a 6-0, 176 wide receiver Lott caught 85 passes in 2024, good for 1,111 yards and 16 touchdowns. The explosiveness makes him a tremendous fit opposite Dakorien Moore in the Oregon passing attack. He also has college potential as a cornerback and could play in a dual role the way Travis Hunter did.

He commitment is another coup for new wide receiver coach Ross Douglas, who landed a commitment from four-star wide receiver Messiah Hampton in June.

His athletic profile fits closely with current Oregon star Evan Stewart, who was also a track standout. His father played cornerback at Texas. His mother was a Longhorn basketball star. His dad James held the national prep record in the high jump at 7' 4 3/4".

Lott's commitment moves Oregon to the No. 7 class nationally.
